Amie and I met for the first time in 7th grade on a church youth group trip to Wet-n-Wild. A few years went by before we met once again at church. Amie and I were in a confirmation class together and we were put into the same group. Another year went by before I had the courage to talk to her after church which was the only time we saw one another. Amie sang in the choir while I went to church with my family every Sunday. I did not dare to sing in fear of upsetting God with my terrible voice.
We started talking and thanks to Amie's mom we began to date. Amie thought I was too shy and nice, but finally she came around. I mean who would want to be with a nice guy?! Finally on May 21st, 2005, we had our first date and the rest is history. We have been together ever since while maintaining a long distance relationship for 4 years and all!
Being away from each other hasn't been easy but we will both return to Orlando to start our lives together this summer of 2011. I took Amie on a scavenger hunt involving our families and proposed at the end on July 18th, 2009. Since then, finishing school this spring, working, and wedding planning, it takes up all of our time!
